January 3,1970 – June 3,2019 (Age 32)
Diagnosed with Breast Cancer in August 2011, and going through many treatments the cancer became metastatic. January 1, 2016 a brain tumor was found. After many treatments and multiple radiation treatments the cancer was eliminated from the body. The treatments and advancement in the medical field is what kept life going until October 2017. October was the time when the Neurologist said “I can’t let you leave in this condition.” Two days later the Oncologist said “that hospice is the only medical choice.” For anyone that has known or met Monica, you now that taking no was not an option for her. For 17 months on hospice care, (she was taken off of hospice care for three months) it was time to earn her wings to look upon the four things that really mattered to her: Derek, Matthew, Noah, & Anthony. I lost my best friend of 32 years to Metastatic Breast Cancer on Monday June 3, 2019. Monica’s mother Barbara was there for anything that we needed. There will be a future announcement about Monica’s Celebration of Life on her FB page in the next month or so.

This blog is to share memories of those we loved and cherished the most. Every time some one we lost I always see comments or little photos. Here is a place all in one. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I loved creating it!
Please submit a photo to me via Facebook Messenger and the name of a fallen classmate and I will put it here.
This is something new to me and have never done before.
Open to suggestions.
